Summary: We had a great experience staying at Rainbow Trout Resort. The weather was great, the property is beautiful. Easy access right off the main road, you can hear vehicles driving by, but its pretty much unnoticable. Such a peaceful resort, with the private dock and a serene lake. No cell reception in this area, however, the wifi had great signal for 12 guests.

Summary: Tracy and Brooks were lovely hosts. We had a great time at the property with no issues! Everything was clean and comfortable, with ample space for guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property to others looking for a place in the area! Hot tub, fire pit (both propane and real wood), lawn for games and a private lake. It was paradise.

Summary: The property is on a magical piece of land right near the water’s edge at Forest Lake. So pristine, in touched nature surrounding you was absolute heaven. The dock and decks open to this wonderful view that you could just watch for days. The loons gave us a spectacular show!! The weather moves in and out quickly which highlights the rainbow name. The home is warm and cozy and perfect for a group I would say if adults 12 at most. We had 10 and it was lovely. Adults sharing double beds is not likely to happen. The kitchen was beautiful and very stocked with all that you need. The hot tub is a fabulous add on. And overall I recommend this place for maybe 3 families or 12 adults max. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the communication was top notch.

Summary: Do not trust this bedroom list. It was not close to accurate and as a result, We had to have people sleeping on the floor. One of the spaces listed is basically a furnished shed with no power, no insulation and no weather sealing. It would be fine for Summer, but when I was up there it -10 to -20 overnight. Also, the hot tub didn't work when we arrived and by the time it heated up, we lost a night. And then we noticed the water was green. Also, one of the bathrooms had a plumbing issue so we were down a bath/shower with a group of 13 people. Beautiful location, beautiful cabin, but far from issue free.

Summary: Beautiful property. Only negatives were the listing showed bunk beds but there weren't any, not a big problem, and the cleaning could have been upped a notch. Otherwise it was a great place for kids and adults with lots of space to be together or get some privacy. Enjoyed the big yard and volleyball net and all the water crafts. Would definitely book again.

Summary: This was our second stay at this property as a large family group. It is an incredible place with plenty of room. The biggest reason we love it is of course the location and privacy. There are plenty of amenities and things to do both in the water and on the property . However this trip there were some concerns. The biggest issue being the mice problem. Having stayed there before we understand that doors need to be closed at all times and food can't be left out etc. But this visit things were seemingly out of control. So much that even while we were in the kitchen cooking and eating, mice were running over the counters. We ended up having to throw out a lot of our food as a result. We were extremely diligent and so this leads us to believe there's definitely an infestation happening. We found mice droppings in our food, our cups, on our plates and even in our cars and our bags when we got home. The last visit we did see the occasional mouse which was to be expected but this time was completely unacceptable. Outside was difficult as well, with mice running all over the deck while we were sitting there and that combined with the wasp and hornet issue made it quite unpleasant and unbearable.I should also mention the hot tub was filthy after one use, so it was unusable. Sadly I don't think we will be back in the future. For the price we expected better! The owners had been wonderful to deal with however, we tried to reach them while on site, but got no response.
